  We were pretty disappointed with our experience with Deschutes Property Management. We found a place we were interested in, completed the applications, and got approved. After being approved, we were informed that we had 24 hours to put down half of the deposit to hold the place for us until it was available.
  
  At this point, we had not seen the property and could not see the property because the current tenants worked during the day and wouldn't be home till after closing time for Deschutes. We told the office staff that we just wanted to know if a king bed would fit in the master bedroom. They had no idea and made no effort to even get us that information. Seems like a pretty standard thing a property manager should know about a property...
  
  We asked if they could be flexible on the 24 hours until someone could verify the size of the master bedroom. I was told that no, they could not do that, and we had to put up the non-refundable deposit before the 24 hours were up or we would lose the opportunity. Their answer to this whole situation? "Well, we do rent site-unseen."
  
  Deschutes seems to be taking advantage of renters in the current market. They know they will have people lining up for their properties regardless of how they perform their job. We will not be doing business with them now or in the future.
